Snake Identification Assistance |
| |
This section is intended to help doctors and non doctors, identify the venomous snakes likely to be encountered in the area served by Little Flower Hospital. It should be remembered that this section is not intended to be a definitive guide to snake identification. It aims to give simple key identification features which should help in identifying a dangerous species.
It should also be remembered that colour is a very unreliable means of identifying a particular species. There will be many variations in colour and markings and in some cases the markings may be missing. However, in the vast majority of cases this guide will prove very useful.
